Welcome

A very warm welcome to Queen Elizabeth's High School. As our crest clearly indicates, we proudly celebrate and promote: Tradition, Achievement, and Opportunity. These core values revolve around ensuring our students are well cared for, academically challenged and afforded access to a broad range of fulfilling and enriching co-curricular activities. As a result, students at QEHS feel safe, flourish within an environment of academic rigour, and develop interests and skills which will go on to serve them well throughout their lives.

Testimonials

Olly M (9D)

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in both Year 7 and Year 8, whether that be the variety of different genres of extra-curricular activities in sports and various subjects. Some of the sports and subject drop-ins available to students include football, cricket, dodgeball, more sports, and other subjects in which you feel you need support, as well as many societies. I strongly recommend all students to participate in and take advantage of these opportunities because many schools do not have as many clubs as Queenies. Additionally, QEHS offers opportunities that other schools don’t, for example, this year I am taking part in the HPQ programme, which is a GCSE-standard qualification, and we are doing it in Year 9, among many other things. To conclude, in my opinion, my QEHS experience so far has been one-of-a-kind and brilliant." iste ratione maxime aliquid vitae aliquam, ex odit similique ea corporis perspiciatis veniam aspernatur nesciunt, illum, minus quam?

“Queen Elizabeth High School is a place full of opportunities to learn, grow, and discover new things every day. Staff and other students help us build knowledge, develop important skills, and prepare for the future. QEHS is also where you can meet friends, share ideas, and work together. They encourage creativity, curiosity, and confidence, while giving us the tools to reach our goals. Most importantly, QEHS helps us become better people by teaching respect, teamwork, and responsibility.”

“There are so many parts of school I am grateful for, starting from the sports and activities I take part into the support I have been given. I take part in netball practices once a week at lunchtime and we play matches against other schools as a team, which has made me so much closer to the other girls who take part and given me a lot of opportunities. Another thing that has helped me is every issue I've had I have been provided so much support with, and all the teachers are willing to help you as much as they can. I have made so many good memories on school trips like the ski trip and in lessons too.”

“Having the opportunity to be able to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme through school has been really enjoyable, especially the expedition we did.”

“I really enjoyed my time at QEHS. The staff were always supportive, especially when applying to university and helped me make the most of every opportunity. I was fortunate enough to be able to take on a range of leadership roles, which taught me a lot about teamwork and communication. One of my favourite experiences was serving as Deputy Head Boy (Marketing and outreach), it gave me the chance to represent the school and contribute to something I’m really proud of.”
