Duke Of Edinburgh

QEHS Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award at QEHS

At QEHS, we are proud to offer students the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE). This is an internationally recognised programme which encourages personal development, resilience and teamwork. Open to students at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels, the DofE challenges participants through a range of activities including volunteering, physical pursuits, skills development and expedition training.

Taking part in DofE is a fantastic way for students to grow in confidence, build friendships and gain valuable experience which supports both university and career applications. Whether learning a new skill, contributing to the community or exploring the outdoors, the DofE journey is a rewarding and unforgettable one.

We currently offer the Bronze DofE Award to Year 9 students and the Silver and Gold Awards to Year 12 students.

Full details of the award are available on the DofE website: https://www.dofe.org/

Having the opportunity to be able to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme through school has been really enjoyable, especially the expedition we did.
